I’ve gotten a whole bunch of asks about why Hayley wearing the same clothes on stage is or isn’t gross. Honestly it’s kind of a silly debate which I regret that I instigated so I’m just gonna publish all your opinions and then let’s be done with it, ok?

In the words of one Anon, “I do not want to be rude, but if she wears dirty clothes or not, or if she does laundry or not, is not kind of our problem, is it?”

Hayley usually wears the same stage outfits every night, unless it’s a huge tour such as the Honda Civic Tour in which she had like 3 or 4 different outfits. Brand new Eyes tour she changed up her outfit every once in a while. It is common for band members to wear the same stage clothes. What they usually do is air it out so it wont be as bad. She does pack a lot of clothes so that she won’t really have to wear the same clothes off stage. Touring ain’t always pretty. [Anon]

I have friends that are a touring band and they keep the same outfits for about a month at a time or each tour, but they only wear them on stage and change when they get ready to leave, so it’s only slightly gross ;) [katybacon]

I think she just has a tour outfitt. The guys wear same things on the stage every show sometimes too. I think it’s cool,because it’s like you know,every show/city is having the same expirience… [lupainfabula]

Most of bands when they are on tour will wear the same outfit on stage. and keep other clothes for during the day, or hanging etc. It’s not like she’s the only one doing it. [ohreallyahh]

i think her video about packing in 5min says it all, she doesn’t pack many tshirts to wear on stage for 3 weeks tour. maybe she doen’t sweat at all but it’s gross anyway [isabelle-world]

about hayley’s clothes while on tour, she packs clothes and buy more on the road, she wears clean clothes at the m&g, bus, restaurant, etc. but the stage oufit is only used on stage, so it’s a short time… she sweats, but remember what taylor said: she’s the only who sweats and stills smelling like roses [Anon]

Bottom line: Yes, it’s kind of gross. But bands on tour don’t have many chances to do laundry and touring is not a glamorous or clean lifestyle regardless. She has her reasons for wanting to wear the same clothes, and at the end of the day no one really cares whether Hayley’s pants smell.
